This article is part of a series on how to make a blog template.
In this article, I’ll show you how to do the following: Copy a template that already exists in your WordPress theme.
Save it to a file called “wp-content/themes/blog.html” that will be served as the root of your WordPress site.
Create a new WordPress theme that uses the template as the default blog post template.
Save that file as “wp.html”.
Add the WordPress site template to the WordPress theme’s settings panel.
Then, use the following settings: Select “Add Custom Posts” at the top of the WordPress admin panel.
Select “Custom posts” from the menu.
Select the template file that you saved earlier in the previous step.
Then click “Save.”
You can find your WordPress blog template on your WordPress dashboard.
